Photography/ media consent
In accordance with our child protection policy, we will not permit photographs, video, or other images of young people to be taken without consent. If the child is under 16, consent must be obtained from a parent / carer.
Photographs and videos will be taken to record and celebrate a child’s progress, as well as documenting some class activities, and all efforts will be made to ensure the activity is shown in a positive light and are not open to manipulation. If at any point you are unhappy with pictures being taken, or have any issues with those you are sent, please let us know right away. We will not name children or tag anyone within any social media posts, or give any personal details.
Freebirdies will take all steps to ensure these images are used solely for the purposes for which they are intended. If you become aware that these images are being used inappropriately, please inform us immediately.
Participants will not be permitted to use devices during class, and photography will not be allowed by any parents/carers spectating. An instructor/ class assistant will take photographs throughout the class (with children’s verbal consent) on a device only used for studio purposes. All photos/videos taken during the class will be shared with all parents/carers of attendees via a wetransfer link which will expire in 7 days, this will be sent to the email address provided upon booking. Our device will need to be taken home to provide this link for a better internet connection! But it will always be stored securely and with password protection. Any files kept for promotional purposes will be in a secure folder for up to 12 months, and may be shared on our public Freebirdies facebook page, Instagram @freebirdies.dundee, or on our webpage- a Freebird Studio subpage. Please let us know if you would like to opt out of these options, or for your child not to be included in any photography/ videos during class, this is no problem.
